Nevenwerkingen antipsychotica

Relatief frequent:

• Extrapiramidaal: parkinsonisme, acathisie, acute dystonie;
• Antihistaminerg: gewichtstoename, sedatie;
• Afwijkingen in lipide- en glucosemetabolisme, DM type 2;
• α1-blokkade: (orthostatische) hypotensie, duizeligheid, tachycardie, palpitaties;
• Anticholinerg: obstipatie, droge mond, wazig zien, urineretentie (clozapine, olanzapine, quetiapine);
• Seksuele disfunctie;
• Dysforie.

Minder frequent:

• Cardiovasculair: verlenging van het QT-interval en ventriculaire aritmieën. 
• Prolactinegerelateerd: amenorroe, gynaecomastie, galactorroe;
• Verlaging convulsiedrempel
• Maligne neurolepticasyndroom;
• Tardieve dyskinesie (1).
